Ace Allen
Co-chair VAMC Telemedicine

Dr. Ace Allen is a founding member of the American Telemedicine Association, the International Society for Telemedicine, the Telemedicine Research Center and the Association of Telehealth Service Providers. Dr. Allen was the founder and publisher of Telemedicine Today, a subscription-based bimonthly magazine published from 1992 to 2002, with an international circulation. He also served as Chairman of the Board of Today Communications, Inc.

Dr. Allen is a board-certified medical oncologist and currently practices at the Oncology Division at the VA Hospital. He is a recipient of the National Cancer Institute Career Development Award (KO-7 Grant) which allows him to pursue research on the implementation and evaluation of tele-oncology.  Currently, Dr. Allen co-chairs the VAMC Telemedicine Committee. He received his MD from University of Kansas Medical Center following his BA in Botany from University of California, Berkeley and attended Antioch College.
