With over 20 years of entrepreneurial experience building healthcare, medical technology and life science companies, Paul Tirjan is a visionary, disciplined, strategic thinker and motivational team leader. Prior to AllSpire Health, Mr. Tirjan was VP of Ambulatory Care for Universal Health Services. Mr. Tirjan is a founding partner of Pearl Capital Group, a boutique merchant bank specializing in healthcare with offices in New York and Philadelphia. As a founder or senior executive, he has built companies from concept through to profitability and achieved exits through public offerings and trade sales.
Prior to Pearl Capital Group, he was Director at Burrill & Company, a San Francisco based life science investment firm, and Investment Associate at TL Ventures – EnerTech Capital Partners, a Philadelphia based investment firm affiliated with Safeguard Scientific. While at Pearl Capital Group, Mr. Tirjan developed pioneering use of multinational aerospace and strategic defense offsets to finance medical technology development and he has deep emerging markets expertise in Asia, Eastern Europe and the Middle East. Mr. Tirjan received his MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and his BA from the University of Pennsylvania.
